1. Filing a notice

We accept takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) through the support form, subject "A copyright matter". Please include these six items:

  1. which work of yours you believe was copied, briefly described;
  2. the full URL on trans-chat-room.com where the copy can be seen;
  3. contact details, meaning your name, postal address and telephone number plus an email we can write back to;
  4. your declaration of good faith that neither the rights holder, nor someone acting for the rights holder, nor the law permits this use;
  5. a declaration under penalty of perjury that the details you give are accurate and that the work is yours or you represent its owner;
  6. your signature, handwritten or electronic; a typed full name is enough.

2. What happens next

A complete notice is checked against the page it names. If the claim checks out, the item comes down or is made unreachable, usually within a few working days, and we confirm this by email.

3. Counter-notice

Believe a takedown hit you by error? Write to the same form with: your name, address and phone; which item was removed and at which URL it was published; a declaration under penalty of perjury stating your good faith belief that the item was taken down because of an error or because it was misidentified; a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where you live (outside the US: any judicial district in which the service provider may be found); and a signature. The item may go back online if, after 10 to 14 business days, the complainant has not reported filing a lawsuit to us.

4. Material on partner platforms

Streams, recordings and profiles on outside chat or cam platforms are never stored on this domain. Notices about them belong with the platform in question, since only it can delete files from its servers.

5. Misuse

Anyone who knowingly misrepresents an infringement may owe damages under 17 U.S.C. 512(f). People who repeatedly infringe lose access to any part of this site that accepts contributions.
